What remains are fragments of the dish you remember loving, but not always the hands that made it or the moments that anchored it. Creating a family cookbook is a way of saying this mattered.
That these meals shaped you. That the people behind them deserve to be remembered clearly. When done with care, a personalized recipe book becomes a record of love, tradition and togetherness.
We partner with families who want to preserve treasured recipes, celebrate loved ones and create a keepsake that can be passed down for generations. We've also worked with businesses to create custom cookbooks for employees and clients, offering a rare kind of gift rooted in connection, care and longevity.
Each Heirloom Collaborative project is personally guided by Rachel, a professional food photographer who understands the emotional weight and the technical craft behind preserving recipes.
Unlike DIY services, Rachel captures the food herself, bringing each recipe to life with intention. For clients who want a truly hands-off experience, she can also prepare the recipes.
As a result, your heirloom will feel cohesive and elevated, where nothing feels rushed, uneven, or left to chance.
“We were so touched and overwhelmed with emotion when we saw the finished cookbook Rachel created. It was an effort that came from her heart and the result showed that. Not a detail was overlooked. This is a tribute to Nana that we will cherish forever and pass down to numerous generations.”

“My husband, Stan, and I cannot recommend Heirloom Collaborative and Rachel highly enough. Rachel was very easy to work with. Her ideas and skill set greatly enhanced our family cookbook. The finished product, the Hamilton Family Recipes, is on its THIRD printing, caused by popular demand from friends and family. This is a wonderful way for us to pass on to future generations some of our favorite family foods and the memories associated with these special recipes. Thanks Rachel!”
